Movies Recently Watched

I Am Legend- Monsters were so unscary it kind of ruined the mood. 28 Days Later is a bit better I think, but it's still worth watching I guess.

The Pursuit of Happiness- Cute movie. You start to care about the Will Smith's character, and I cheered when he got his internship and when other cool things happened. Most of the movie was pretty depressing though, until the end.

Fight Club- Finally watched this famed movie. The beginning was like "WTF? is this really Fight Club?" with the insomniac guy. But I liked the beginning. The dialogue was clever and witty. It didnt turn out to be how I expected though. I thought it'd be a movie like in the boxing ring or some underground boxing thing or something. Turns out I was way off.
SPOILERS- The twist that happened was kinda weird though. It was kinda hard to swallow at first, like wtf? Still, it was a good movie.

The Shawshank Redemption- FINALLY watched this movie. This was probably number 1 on my list of movies that I NEED to watch, and I've finally accomplished it. It's clear why this is consistently ranked as one of the Best Movies of All Time and Greatest Movies Ever. The Shawshank Redemption was AWESOME. It was moving, it was tense, it was funny, it was gripping, and best of all, I really started to care what happened to the people in it, even though I knew it was just a movie. Awesome ending, awesome everything. <3 style="font-weight: bold;">Lucky Number Slevin- It was okay. It was kinda too clever for its own good, and some of the things seemed ridiculous and over the top. Whatever, it was good entertainment. Josh Hartnett is freakin hot dude, no kidding. It was about halfway through the movie when I realized "Wow wtf, this main character is the sex machine." Chris had told me before to watch Lucky Number Slevin because it was a really tricky movie, so I came in with that in mind.

The funny thing is - on the outside, I was an honest man, straight as an arrow. I had to come to prison to be a crook.

Decoration

Hm, there is so much to customize on this, and it's all so easy!

Ah! I'm tingling with the sense of freedom. I can add stuff to the side, stuff to the top, stuff to the bottom, everything.

Change the colors of every little thing with just a click. AWESOME!

Sounds like an advertisement doesn't it?

I might change the site URL, trying to find what suits me. shadow-marlfox.blogspot.com is fine, but who knows. How about something else... I'm not too sure.

Haha, vote in the poll! =)

Though this be madness, yet there is method in it.

Hook

Hook was horrible. I can't believe Stephen Spielberg made that shit.

I have seen it before when I was a kid, and remember it as being okay.
Looks like the years have dusted my memories, because what I saw was a completely retarded piece of crap work.

Some parts are semi-good, most are not. Including basically the entire end action scene.

The only thing that shown was Dustin Hoffman's portrayal of Captain Hook. That was really good. You should probably just watch a few clips on Youtube to see the character in action, and then never touch that forsaken film again.

What a waste of two hours where I could have been catching up on sleep.

Lookie lookie, I've got a Hookie

Movies

I just downloaded The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, and Forrest Gump. All big name great movies that I have never seen before, for some utterly strange reason still unbeknown to me.

A bit of trivia for the avid moviebuff: What do all the films above have in common except one?
Answer in the comments. This one shouldn't be too hard.

I'm also downloading Hook so I can watch it again. Despite it being one of the worst movies Spielberg has ever directed, I just wanna see it again because it's been so long since I've watched it.

Too bad I'm going to have to wait to watch all these great things, because of Calc, English, Physics, and APUSH keyterms. Damnit.

You don't understand how badly this pains my heart.

I now have a Quote of the Day in my profile, as Vincent has so kind heartedly insisted on everyone adding.
I used to have a Quote of the Moment, which I stopped after I had used all of my awesome quotes. But that was a few years ago, if anyone still even remembers that. I can recycle and hopefully no one will notice the difference =)

The Princess Bride

There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who like the Princess Bride, and those who haven't seen it yet.

I don't understand people who don't like it. It's so great. It's hilarious, witty, satirical, suspenseful, action-packed, damn it has everything.

And I will get around to reading the book some day when I can find it.

From Xanga to Blogster

This post marks the beginning of something new.
From before this date, I have only blogged with Xanga. I love the site, and I am very reluctant to let it go.

Almost every single day, I go onto the site. I usually get in about a post every 1-2 days. On the sidebar of my xanga, there reads
Member Since: 10/29/2003

Whenever I go on, a happy message always greets me with
Hi ShaDow_MarLfoX! It's been 1507 (wow, that's a big number) days since you joined Xanga... won't you support us by going Premium?

1507 days would be exactly 4 years and 46 days as of today. That's an awful long time, and I have an awful lot of memories there.

As you can see, I am in quite the dilemma. Blogster is superior to Xanga, that much is quite clear to me. However, Xanga holds more charm, and appeal. There is already an established sort of sub community there, and I feel in control. I know mostly every aspect of it, while Blogster is something completely new.

I think I might try posting on both, and see how it goes. I'll continue on with Xanga as always, hopefully that much won't change. However, I'll post less personal things on Blogster and see how it goes.

Maybe it will work, maybe it won't.
Maybe I'll just quit Blogster.
Or maybe I'll leave xanga with its happy memories, and begin something new altogether with Blogster.
