North Carolina and Indiana
Yay, Obama won North Carolina.
Now all we need is Indiana to get Hillary off the race... but we failed.
FUCK! So close to victory, and Hillary goes and snatches it away. YOU FAILED ME INDIANA!

One step closer to victory
ANOTHER New Years Resolution has been vanquished!
What a glorious day indeed. I finally got my black belt completely, with certificates, papers, the belt, and everything.
I finished testing last summer, but never got around to completing all the extra red tape stuff. But last Saturday, I finally did it!
YAY!

So, at Peer9 I decided to check out some library books for the first time in a while. I got Artemis Fowl 5, and most of the Great Brain series. Read them all already, but they're the sex so they need another go. Edward and I split them up so I got one great brain book and artemis fowl
I read The Return of the Great Brain during dinner.
Then I studied APUSH for like, an hour before I decided screw this, I need to read Artemis Fowl 5. So I picked it up, and finished it at 2.
Ahhhh good times. I haven't stayed up like that to finish a book since... well. July 21, 2007. What an epic moment. I can't believe I forgot these things I loved.

Comparing Economic Answers between You and Barack Obama
I'm not very well-versed in economic issues, so I'll keep my hands off it. I know that I'm ignorant and dumb, and I probably don't know any better. I know that I'm too young and stupid to know what works and what doesn't, so... I'll just stick to social issues =)
Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy. Based on the above score, you are a Moderate Liberal
Take that Edward!

Best Years?
Some day I just feel like I'm gonna look back at my high school years, and then sigh disappointedly.
Too late now I guess.
But wait, it's never too late. Better late than not at all.
But still, I've dug myself into too deep a hole. Plus, I doubt I can really do anything. The walls are far too slippery.
But still, the fact that I already know how I'm gonna feel when I'm older, and the fact that I can't even do anything about it. In combination, that's pretty depressing.

Moderate
In politics, a moderate is an individual who holds the middle position between those generally classified as being left-wing or liberal and those seen as right-wing or conservative. An alternate definition, and one widely held among swing voters, is that a moderate is one who has firm convictions on all issues, yet some convictions fall just to the left of the spectrum and some fall just to the right.

Was AWESOME!
Best one was Paramore, followed by Story of the Year for an extremely close second.
I was so pumped up.
My ears are ringing (not this crap again), and my face is 10x darker.

Rare Candy
.... to read is to understand, to see is to learn, to do is invaluable.
Thanks Edward, for such a valuable quote
Have I said this before? I don't mind failing miserably at something as long as I learn something from it.
Live and learn.
In fact, I'd like it better that way. Doing it right the first time seems to be like cheating your way out of it. You don't really actually know it.
I think it's kinda like using cloned rare candy in Pokemon. You get the same results, but something is missing. Something essential.

The End of Spring Break Rush
Otherwise known as doing all of Spring Break's homework on the Sunday before school starts.
This might possibly be the worst spring break I've ever had.
Every day I spent at engineering until very late. I did not do anything.
Usually during spring break I have some sort of resolution, or things to accomplish. This year I had but one: Sleep
Epic Fail.

Engineering
is ruining my life.
Seriously, each day of Spring Break is spent at school working away. Every day.
We wake up as early as we wake up for school, and stay later.
Monday it was 7, Tuesday it was 2, and today it's 9.
Completely ridiculous. Where'd my break go?

Revelation!
This is to you brian/alex. I have finally realized the difference!
Time for some delta-wynn in my life =)
maybe chain emails arent so bad after all.
A good friend wonders about your romantic history.
A true friend could blackmail you with it.
A good friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A true friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself.
A good friend will knock on the door.
A true friend will walk right in and say "I'M HOME!"
A good friend respects your privacy.
A true friend jerks you off.
A friend returns your stuff a day late and a dollar short, apologizing profusely.
A good friend returns your stuff on time, as good as new and maybe even better than before.
A true friend keeps your stuff for so long they forget its yours.
A friend visits you in the hospital.
A good friend packs you an overnight bag.
A true friend cleans out your porn collection before your parents arrive to pack your overnight bag.
A friend laughs when he finds out you went to jail, and tells you what you did wrong.
A good friend will wake up at 2am in the morning to bail you out.
A true friend turns to you and says, "Damn that was fun!"

Practicalities
It's like learning about something from a textbook.
Knowing every little thing about it, every fact, every piece of information. That doesn't help you really understand it unless you've experienced it.
You may know all the physics of parachuting off a plane. You may know exactly what to do, exactly where to land, and have every step memorized exactly.
But still, you've never actually jumped off the plane before, and that's something totally different.
Therefore, it is impossible for you to truly realize what it feels like on the other side of the fence.

Stress and Suspense
AP Tests are almost here, I barely realized.
Last year, I was freaking out completely, went crazy and all that other fun stuff.
Now, I don't even care anymore. That's not good... shouldn't this happen senior year?
This year is... weird. It's like, the one year where finally everything doesn't completely change for me.
It's just like the same as last year, except I'm older.
Well duh you say, but seriously. From Freshmen to Sophomore year so many things changed. Like went from jv to varsity, started taking APs, and other stuff. But this year, like it all seems like a repeat. It's kinda weird.
And then, other things changed. Before, it was always the events that changed, and not the people. It would always be the same damn people in a different environment, or something.
Sophomore-Junior year, wow. I think it's more like new people, same environment this time around.
Why am I talking about this now? This would make a fabulous post at the end of Junior Year. Guess I'll save this topic for discussion til then.

Brawl
After so much hype, so much waiting time, after SO LONG.
I finally played brawl.
It was SO BEAST.
Subspace Emissary is the coolest thing yet. Not as cool as Halo 3, but definitely better than any single player smash you have ever played ever, especially when it's co-op.
Gets kinda repetitive however.
It's not THAT slow, in fact it's actually really damn fast.
Only some characters like snake and ike are slow mothers that do 500 damage.
I can't wait until the weekend.
Olimar owns.

We kinda played the first verse to Enter Sandman by Metallica. With bass, guitars, and drums. It kinda sucked very badly.
I burned my hand. It hurts SO BADLY.
The smell is disgusting. Now I know what the books say when they talk about the people gagging on the smell of burning flesh.

Conflicting...
My morals and liberal belief on life seem to contradict each other on the surface sometimes, it seems to me.
Only if I scratch deeper...
Honestly, I feel like learning and growing up is part of life. Babying children from mistakes and failures is counter productive. I'd seriously not mind if I went through some total crisis or disaster, as long as I emerged learning a lesson and growing.
Note the last condition.
Oh there are so many intricacies to this, one would not even imagine.
To err is human, tolaugh forgive divine.

Karma
Today was actually quite fun. It was fulfilling, and overall awesome.
Besides whatever happened, I also am getting used to driving my car now.
Also, on the parking lot in Brea mall, something extraordinarily happened.
Wallis, Chris, Edward, and I were walking when Edward sees a black 328i. It's a coupe too. The door is not even properly closed. Not only that, it isnt even locked. Not only THAT, but it has an iPod in plain sight.
After lots of hesitation, Wallis tries to open the door. It opens cleanly, and we have in front of us full access to this BMW. We could have done anything. Messed up the inside, scratched up the seats, steal the iPod, steal their sunglasses, steal their lint remover, steal the wallet in the glove compartment, or maybe even steal the small purse in the other compartment.
Instead, Wallis takes out the pen. I tell Edward to write on the lint remover these words: "We locked your car for you. Be more careful next time. From one bmw owner to another =)".
I hide the iPod in the compartment and try to lock the door. Unfortunately, it won't lock, and just pops back up. Nothing we can do now, so we just close the door without changing the message.
At least the door is properly shut now, and the iPod isn't in plain sight.
I don't know what other people would have done in that situation, but think of it this way: Both Edward and Wallis don't have an iPod. And they would both really really love one.
Anyway, it kind of made my day. Honestly, if Life takes a shot at me now, I'd be extremely extremely disappointed.

+2 to the List
I added two New Years Resolutions to the list. I'm not exactly sure if you can do that, seeing how it isnt New Years, but too bad!
First one is being in a play. Self-explanatory, I'm guessing. Acting in a play. That would be cool.
Second one is learning acoustic. Also self-explanatory. Whew!

Happy Valentines Day!
I really want to learn the guitar. The acoustic guitar. Man that would be so sex. I know it's hard, but I'll try and practice.
I also want to join Adv Drama next year, but too bad I can't make it. I knew I should have joined Drama sophomore year. Damnit.
Maybe I should join choir next year, because singing is fun. Then again, forced singing isn't quite that much fun. Nevermind.
I don't know, acoustic or electric guitar. They both are so appealing. I don't want to learn to play in a band, but rather for myself. Acoustic is easier for that purpose I guess. If both fail, I can learn drums. I want to learn drums =).
I'm decent at rock band drums, so maybe. Who knows! I want to learn how to play something though. That'd be nice. Next time I'm at Chris's house, I'm forcing him to teach me the acoustic.
My cute stress ball heart on my desk keeps smiling at me. I smile back at it. And give it a squeeze. Aw, I just realized that it matches this holiday pretty well.

Dissatisfied Consumer
Don't you hate how all the good protein bars have like 30g of protein, but come at the cost of also having about 50% DV saturated fat in it?
Because they have to layer every inch of the damn bar with chocolate and sugar to hide the "nasty" protein flavor, and its not so good at doing it anyway.
Seriously, just cut out the chocolate and fat. If it tastes nasty, I'll down it down. I don't care.
But the significantly healthier fruit bars have like a third the protein as those bars do. Sigh, what a dilemma.
As if I need any more sugar in my system. Soda is like downing cups and cups of sugar.
Every sip is a step closer to diabetes.

Favorite Movie
There's a difference between a great movie and a favorite movie. A great movie would be something like The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, or Citizen Kane. Something with a superb plot, gripping story, great acting, and tight editing. You know the drill.
Favorite movie implies some sort of guilty pleasure. Just one that you happen to like, even if it is not great. It doesn't have to be the best movie ever made, but it could.
What's yours?

Yay!
Oh yea, I got my computer back last weekend. Whew! It's fixed!
Life was dull without it.
Schedule might start killing me soon. Tennis practice starting, games soon. Engineering is gonna start to probably take over all my after school time. And second semester means APs! What a load of fun.
But there's one thing that's very awesome: I don't have Saturday tutor anymore!! YAYYY!!!
You don't understand how happy I am. I used to trudge along my Saturdays like a living zombie. Wake up at 8 for Engineering, leave at 12 to go to Peer9 and rule with an iron first, and then after Peer9 leave immediately for tutor until like 9:30. Afterwards, I usually hung out with the guys, but it's 9:30, come on. What can I possibly do?
But now, my reign of terror at peer9 is over, and brian is the new president! you know what that means? I don't need to go anymore! yayyy (though no more free hours =[).
But that only means that I get to stay later for Engineering. But, no tutor! NO SEVEN HOUR TUTOR OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION. MY SATURDAYS ARE FREE AGAIN!!
I usually hate hanging out in the parking lot, which seems to happen often. However, I am excited to hang out in the library parking lot. I've never done it before, because tutor started before I ever had the chance to. Saturdays are free! nah nah nah!!
Man, you don't ever really miss something `til you don't have it anymore. It's true.
Especially when it's a whole day of freedom like that. =)=)=)

Most Expensive Music Video of All Time
For the longest time the winner was "Scream" by Michael Jackson, coming in at 7 million dollars. The nearest predecessor was Puff Daddy's "Victory" at 2.7 million. Michael Jackson beat him about by almost 3 times.
That of course, was until Madonna came along and made "Die Another Day", the theme song to the James Bond movie called, obviously, "Die Another Day". It was a pretty cool video, with an awesome action scene and lots of bouncing JAMBAS.
I thought that was it... until today. And you'll never guess what it is. It's $13 million. A whole thirteen million, almost two times Michael Jackson's amount. And the craziest thing is, there's no special effects in this video at all. And its the first American music video ever to be filmed entirely in the People's Republic of China.
What is it you ask?
Why, 30 Seconds to Mars: "From Yesterday".
I know. I'm amazed too.

I know. I'm amazed too.

You only live once.
I'm going to go crazy and do everything I can to make my high school years worth remembering.
Screw everyone else.
Screw everyone else.

If only all parents were lawyers..
I'm going to lose regardless, but I'd feel a lot better about if if their arguments actually had any merit to them.
Note to self: Find better ways to vent anger when stress ball just doesn't cut it.
Note to self: Get stress ball back from Brian's house.
When angry, count to four. When very angry, swear

Since losing my computer to that tragic soda spill...
I've been using my time more productively. In fact, the only time when I haven't been using my time productively would be when I get my sister's computer. For example, right now.
I find posting productive, but not the other things I do. I was planning on doing some crazy Shalom hw yesterday (there's certainly no shortage of that), but instead I burned a good 3-4 hours on my sister's computer.
I think not having my laptop is actually turning out better for my life. Except that its obscenely inconvenient of course, with finals and projects coming around. I really do need a computer sometimes. What a dilemma.
What's the middle ground?
On another interesting but otherwise irrelevant note, Brawl got pushed back to March 9 today. What a letdown.
Our bodies were built for comfort, not for speed.

Ray Bradbury
Sucks.
His writing style sucks, it makes no sense, it has no clear point, and I hate reading him.
Every year I come back to him and think "Hey, let's give him another chance. I'm sure I'll like him this time around." And every year it FAILS.
I like Shakesphere a lot better than him. At least Shakesphere actually has stuff he writes about.
Bradbury just makes up a bunch of nonsense.
That which does not kill you, can only make you stronger.
That which does not kill you, will probably severely maim and cause permanent disability.

I think...
That I'm turning meaner lately.
And more tempermental. The stress ball should help, along with lots of sleep. I hope.
Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I didn't quit Cross Country for year-round tennis. I'd probably be a lot more fit, that's for sure. And skinnier....
I have learned something over the course of high school so far. That is this: Absence is best.
And I think I will try and find the balance between just saying what I think (which doesn't happen nearly as often as one might expect), and keeping quiet if I have nothing relevant to add. What a fickle subject.
You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future.

Christmas (presents)
I gave people presents for Christmas this year.
Or more specifically, Alex, Brian, and I went shopping together. It happened maybe a week or so before Christmas, I think the weekend before the last week of school before break.
It was a very novel experience, being my first time and all. I have never gotten presents for anyone, ever. Don't really know why, I'm just not into that sort of stuff I guess. Not that kind of person. Well, this year I did it.
We went to the mall and came up with brilliant ideas for presents for people. I won't list them, because some of them weren't used and maybe next year, who knows =)
Anyway, we only got things for close friends to keep things cuter. It was about halfway through and 80 dollars down (each; we split the bill) that we realized that
1. We had to get cheaper shit.
2. We had too many close friends.
Seriously, maybe like a $20-40 present might not seem to cost a lot when you split it 3 ways, it adds up. Fast.
Anyway, here's a list of the booty. The ones I paid for anyway. Each present was uniquely chosen to match the receiver. PERSONALLY chosen. =)
Abe- Big Stuffed Mushroom
Daniel- Stuffed Mushroom
Chris- Kon Stuffed Doll / Life 101
Edward- Nuns Having Fun calendar / 98 Things a Woman Should Do In Her Lifetime
Hank- Yoshi Car Decoration / Yoshi slippers
Jon Tso- Big pair of Scooby-Doo pajama bottoms
Wallis- Black G-UNIT Jacket
Chien- Superman $$ Hoodie with full hood zipper
Jerry- Playboy robes and boxer
Vincent- Two pairs of Playboy boxers
Ryan- Chippendales Calendar
Claire- Box of Sees Candy
I don't think I forgot anyone... I hope.
Oh yea, I read The Princess Bride the book. It was pretty god.
But still, (and I don't think I ever said this before in my life. I predict it will be a LONG LONG time before I say it again) I prefer the movie over the book.
The movie just has that flair to it, its beautiful.
Oh yea, and I forgot to end my last post with a random insightful profound quote about life or other humorous thing. I'll edit that in right now.
Oh no! I've forgotten it for like 4 posts already. CHANGES MUST BE MADE!!!
Nothing in life is always wrong. Even a broken clock works twice a day.

New Years Resolutions
Here is the list, without the reasons and long rambling behind it. You can find those elsewhere[x].
Every new year people make resolutions to change aspects of themselves they believe are negative. The majority of people revert back to how they were before and feel like failures. This year I challenge you to a new resolution. I challenge you to just be yourself.
- Work out.
- Make varsity tennis.
- Get my damn black belt already.
- Avoid major incidents that may cause unncessary stress and "I hate my life" moments while crying face down in my pillow.
- Get a better SAT II score.
- Work harder in Engineering.
- Get a 5 on AP Calc BC Test.
- Stop being tempermental.
- Live Life.
- Get a job.
- Stop being a BGH.
- Attend a concert and ROCK OUT.
